Ayp
Music, short for Ahh Yeah Productions is an independent Record label and production team for live shows.
Actually
the first real engagement by Ayp was back in 2001 when we arranged our very first show, at this point we were three kids that
was horsing around and wanted to be avtive in Hop.
So we
arranged a show called “The definition of Aypísm” that feat. Øverste
Etage, 2Bak I Munden and Sund Fornuft.
Of course
we felt that we were a part of something big, but the harsh reality of life is that, trying to draw a crowd to a city, where
Hip Hop jams maybe occured once every one or two years, wasn´t a walk in the park. And of course we didn´t know what the hell
we were doing, so obviously we handled it like a nun in a dick sucking marathon, safe to say that it was crudely done.
I can
still feel the satisfaction of pulling it off, and i definetly wanted to try again.
Luckily
the manager for our venue of choice, was pro Hip Hop and temporary music, so I got a call at work one day, it was Simon the
manager, asking me to help out with another show.
In the
mean time one of the Ayp crew memebers had quit for personal reasons, so it was now a two man operation.
Of course
i didn´t turn down his offer because of that, i even got more exited when i learned that two of my friends from my city was
involved with the project, one was Swab, a local DJ that i had hired for our first show.
We all
wanted to make this jam special, so we put our minds together and tried to figure out the perfect lineup, but we needed a
concept.
I still
don´t remember who got the idea to begin with, but we all agreed that this jam would be DJ oriented. So we figured that we
needed a name, i suggested “Høj Grammofonføring”, and the others went along with it.
What
was supposed to be a simple operation, soon evolved into the biggest Hip Hop show at the venue ever. It also turned out to
be the best show we ever did. What could be expected from the lineup feat. DJ Static & Nat Ill, DJ Noize, DJ Shine, DJ
Battles and a listening party for DJ Swab´s coming compilation.
After
the show, things intensified between me and my companion, he started to back out when i spoke of making more shows, he couldn´t
handle the stressfactors involved with this kind of work, so he had to go.
Soon
after that we parted, and Swab replaced him in a heart beat.
That´s
pretty much our story so far, it´s been a bumpy ride, but as we have made mistakes in the past, and learned from them, the
stress factor decreases dramaticly.
2005
is going to be a good year, we´re finally having our official site up and running, the webshop is operative, we´ve had records
coming out and exiting projects are taking shape.
I want
to personally thank anybody, that hits this site to see what´s poppin´, all the people that has believed that we could pull
this off, and of course the artists, that has put a part of their careers in our hands, and trust us with it. Thanks!

to support the people involved with our projects, if we don´t stream it for you, or at least let you know that it´s share
ware, it´s stealing.
Bottom line is, if you steal our shit, there will be no money for administration,
no royalties for the artists, and no more music.
